

Ollie Mae (Stone) Clark. He was the oldest of six children. He departed this life on April 1, 2016
at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan.
He attended school in Fayetteville, TN. He married the late Sammie Bone and to this union five children were born. He took his family to Chicago, Illinois for a period of time then returned to Fayetteville from there he moved his family to Albion, MI in 1954.
As Odie continued his life, he married Geneva Tabb on April 8, 1969 and has six step-children.
He joined Mary’s Chapel A.M.E. Church in Fayetteville in his early years. Later he joined Lewis
Chapel Church. He sung in the choir and male choruses at Lewis Chapel and Bethel Baptist Church. He played guitar and was a trustee. He enjoyed working on cars and loved being outside in his yard. He was always tinkering on “something:” He loved all children and enjoyed being with the children as a crossing guard.
He was employed by Harvard Industries for over 31 years and retired in 1986. He later went back to work for the Albion Public School system as a crossing guard and hall monitor. He worked there until his health started to decline. He retired January 1, 2014.
Odie is survived by his wife Geneva Clark, one daughter, Odelle (Tyrone) Wallace of Lansing,
Sons, Joe (Jan) Clark of Jackson, Billy (Ruth) Clark of Battle Creek, stepchildren, Willie (Gwen) Tabb of Albion, Carl (Tanze) Tabb of Ann Arbor, Charlean Tabb of Atlanta, GA; sister, Virginia Sutton of Fayetteville, TN; brothers, Walter L. Clark and Richard G. Clark both of Albion; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives;
A special son, Thomas; and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 12:00PM at Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Chapel,
522 West Center Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Rev. Donald L. Phillips III officiating.
Family Hour will start at 11am prior to the service. Interment will be held at Albion Memory
Gardens, Albion.
