Orra M. Miller of Homer, Michigan passed away on August 22, 2024 at the age of 101 years and 5 months. For you older generations in the Resorter area, this was the Orra from the Hunt’s Drug Store across the street from the school.
She was born on March 26, 1923 to Clarence and Mabel Matthews, the third of six children. She married Sherman Miller on June 22, 1940 in Lake City, Michigan. They moved to Merritt, Michigan in 1944. They were married for 44 years. They had two children, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren, and four great-great-great grandchildren.
After all those work of years, Orra traveled many winters touring the southern states.
She was a strong fan of Michigan State football and basketball games.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 10:00AM with a service to follow at 11:00AM at Merritt Methodist Church, 428 S. Merritt Rd. Merritt, MI 49667.
