Otis served his country and his community. He was active in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960 and spent many years working for the Albion Housing Commission as the Maintenance Supervisor. He loved spending time on his many “do-it-yourself” construction projects.
He is survived by his only daughter, Lisa Edmonds (Russell Steele), grandson Adrise Steele and great-grandchildren Adelynn and Adrise II all of Lansing, MI. Brothers Lawrence (Bettie) Edmonds Sr. of Kalamazoo, MI and Terry (Cydella) Edmonds, Sr. of Peoria, Illinois. Sisters Mary Edmonds of Lansing, MI, Peggy Curry of Battle Creek, MI and Rosie Moye and Teresa Smith of Albion, MI.
Otis is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Ernestine Edmonds in 2019. Also, his parents Roy and Edna, brothers Raymond Washington, Sr., Roy Edmonds, Jr. and Richie Edmonds, Sr., and sister Thelma Avant.
As Otis wished, cremation will take place.
