Patty Sue Shaffer

Pat was a wonderful Sister, Friend, and Aunt. She was a caregiver her entire life, she loved life with a passion as no one else could. Many will remember her riding her 3 wheeled bike around Albion. She was always walking and enjoying the weather, others will remember her in her 50’s Garb, as she went to many 50’s events. Pat was a volunteer, a pet sitter, and house sitter. She never met a person she didn’t like. She worked for Albion School Systems for many years. She loved making copies of things for the teachers; she loved her independence and fought with dignity to keep it till the end.

Pat was a resident of Maple Grove apartments, and an active member of the New Hope Worship Center in Albion.

Pat is survived by her New Hope Worship Family and the following; 9 Sisters Linda and Gerry Sipe of Albion; Johnalyn (Russell) Henson of Albion; Cheri (Chris) Shaffer of Las Vegas, NV; Judith (Don) Otto of Albion; Lewanda (Ted) Cole of Jackson; Deborah (Tim) Miller of Wyoming, MI; Ilene (Ron) Mahan of Texas; Edith Lazarus of Homer;4 Brothers Paul (Betty) Sipe of Marshall; Larry Sipe, Joe Shaffer, and Grant Lighthill all of Albion. A friend Art Sipe of Albion; special baby sister Sheri Lee Rees of Battle Creek; Dear Friend and Helper Deb Torrey. Too Many Nieces, Nephews Greats and Great Greats to Mention. She was preceded in death by her Loving Parents, 2 Brothers James and Steven Shaffer, and a Sister Betty Lou Bridges.

According to her Wishes, Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Worship Center, 13600 28 Mile Road, Albion, MI 49224 with Rev. Mike Peters officiating. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until Service time on Wednesday at the Church.
