Pauline Maxwell

She married Palmer Maxwell in 1965. She was employed at Talladega Boarding House in Talladega, Ala. for several years before moving to Michigan with her children. She loved listening to the Blues, dancing, playing cards and spending time with her family. She also loved to laugh, and if you brought her a Snickers bar she’d spend time with you too!

She was preceded in death by both parents, 5 brothers: Jack, Levi, Calvin Jr., Josephus, and Leonard Sr. Atchison, 4 sisters: Ada Mae and Bessie Wilson, Alberta Hancock, and Katie Lee Atchison.

She leaves to cherish her memories: 4 sisters: Mary Jane Wilson and Georgia Ann Warren, Berniece and Ruby Hancock all of Albion, MI; 4 children: Palmer (Shiretta) Atchison of Anniston, Ala., Denise Scott, Phyllis (Donald Ray) Griffin, and David Maxwell all of Albion, MI; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, special daughter Deborah “Debbie” Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pauline’s family will celebrate her life on Saturday, March 19, 2016 with family hour beginning at 10:00 AM followed by service at 11 PM at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Albion.
