Robynne Sue Apsey age 67 of Albion passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance in Jackson. She was born in Jackson on August 26, 1953 the daughter of John R. and Charlene (Brewer) Gage. She married James A. Apsey in 1976 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2012 after 36 years of marriage. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jackson Apsey.
Robynne was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after over 30 years of service. She owned a Bakery in Albion at one time and was a phenomenal cake decorator; she loved to make wedding and birthday cakes for her family. She was also a fantastic cook; one of her family’s favorites being her bean soup. Robynne loved going to the casino, enjoyed watching birds, especially hummingbirds and also liked playing games on her computer. Robynne’s greatest love was her family; she was especially close to her two granddaughters, Melina and Piper. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Robynne is survived by her children: son, Phillip (Trina) Apsey, daughters, Janis Ortiz, Jeanette (David) West, Marilyn Apsey, 22 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and siblings: Mike Gage, Jim Gage, Terry (Pam) Gage, Gail Wright, Kaye Walling and Kevin Gage and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Services for Robynne will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 with visitation beginning at 12PM until the time of her service at 1PM led by her brother, Mike Gage at Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, MI. She will be laid to rest in Chapel Cemetery in Parma.
