Ruth May Price

July 29, 1954April 19, 2021

Ruth May Price age 66 of Albion passed away at home on April 19, 2021 under the loving care of her family. She was born July 29, 1954 in Pikeville, KY the daughter of John C and Lona Dell (Newsome) Slone. On October 3, 1970, Ruth was united in marriage to the love of her life, George S. Price in Albion, MI and he survives.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who cherished her family and the time she spent with them. She was a very loving woman; anyone who met her, loved her. Even though she wasn’t able to recently, Ruth loved going to the casino and she also enjoyed playing the lottery.

In addition to her loving husband of 50 years, Ruth is survived by her children: Ruth Jane Hoyt, Laura Ann Foulis, Della Sue Harris, Tracy May (Mike) Shepherd, Stanley Dean (Demika Sue Ann) Price, Robert Allen (Lora Marie) Price, Crystal Marie Price, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, siblings: Martilda (Phil) Thacker, Velma Watkins, Ernest Slone and Thomas (Lori) Slone.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Anna Hamilton, Roxie Ellen Slone and brother, John A. Slone.

Ruth’s family will receive visitors at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion on Tuesday, April 27th from 2-8 PM and on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at the funeral home from 12PM until the time of service at 2PM with Minister Thomas Burchfield officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

I just loved this woman. I will miss her smile and her giggles ! Della and Crystal and the rest of the family I send many hugs and prayers and I thank you for welcoming me into you home and allowing me the honor of knowing and caring this wonderful person. God speed Ruth ❤️❤️

God brought home such a beautiful soul. The most beautiful guardian angel to watch over the entire family. The rock. The glue. She will be so very missed by all of us. So much fight in her.
