Shirley Ann Treacher
August 23, 1939 – March 29, 2019
Shirley Ann Treacher, age 79, of Hanover, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice on Friday, March 29, 2019. She was born August 23, 1939 in Albion the daughter of John and Clara Jones.
Shirley was a graduate of Washington Gardner High School in Albion and a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in Concord. She worked for Hideaway Tavern for some time and retired from Concord Manufacturing after 40 years of service. She was a very strong woman who was very devoted to her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with them, especially her grandkids. She also loved shopping and her I pad which gave her the ability to connect with family easier. Shirley also enjoyed spending time at her daughter, Cheryl’s cabin in Northern Michigan.
Shirley was the last of nine children born to the late, John and Clara Jones, preceding her in death are her husband Doug in 1992, Grandson, Luke Thorrez and siblings: Christina Lynn, Therelbell Kuzma, Eleanor Jenson, Paul Jones, Donald Jones, Ronald Jones, Dorothy Osborn and CJ Jones. Shirley leaves to cherish her memory children: John (Kim) Bulloch of Concord, Cheryl (Jeff) Thorrez of Concord, grandchildren, Catherine (Chapin) Kennedy, Cassie (Nathan) Frazer, Christopher (Whitney) Thorrez, Meghan (Travis) Hath, Nicholas Thorrez, Matthew (Megan) Thorrez, Peter (Katie) Thorrez, Mark Thorrez, Grace Thorrez, Jordan (Kelsey) Bulloch, Chloe Bulloch and Jillian Bulloch; 8 great-grandchildren and sister-in-laws, Elaine Jones, Diane Shuster and Donna Shelton, many nieces and nephews, special friend, Judy Foote and special housekeeper, Jodie Thielke.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 4-8PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30PM at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Dr., Albion, Michigan 49224. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 211 Harmon Ave., Concord, MI on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 11 AM with visitation starting one hour prior to the service with Father Tim Krzyzaniak officiating. Interment to follow in Pulaski Cemetery.
