Carl was a member of Cumming Baptist Church, Cumming, GA. He retired from Roadway Trucking and was a member of the Teamsters Local 728, Atlanta, GA. He served in the United States Navy.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents Helen Grady and Joseph Carl Diehl; sister-in-law, Dauwn Ann Snow Black; brother, Gary Sherwood; sister, Mildred Argo; son, Joseph Allen Diehl; nephews, James Allen Brown, and Joshua John Quinn. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Snow Diehl; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Diehl Johnson (Matt), Rylee Diehl, Hunter Harper, Laney Harper; great-granddaughter, Kyleigh Dew; brothers-in-law, Robert "Rocky" Snow III (Angela), Gregory Snow (Ginny); sister-in-law, Debra Quinn (John) and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
