

29, 2014 at Broward Health North Hospital, Deerfield Beach, Florida from
complications of a stroke with his wife at his side. He was a devoted
and beloved husband, father, and papaw.
Carlos was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and looked forward
to the Adult Fellowship Group each week. He graduated from Everett High
School where he was an outstanding athlete in football. He received
Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Animal Science from
The University of Tennessee and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
from Auburn University. He belonged to Alpha Gamma Rho and Omega Tau
Sigma fraternities.
Carlos was a practicing veterinarian for 43 years in Knoxville where he
owned and operated two practices—Alcoaway Veterinary Hospital and Rocky
Hill Animal Hospital; he retired February 12-2010. Carlos served on the
Tennessee Board of Veterinary Medicine, was a member of the TVMA
(Tennessee Veterinary Medical Association, Two times was President of
East.Tennessee.Medical Association (ETMA), President of the Knoxville
Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA); Co-founder and President of the
Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic; President of Alcoaway Optimist Club.
Carlos loved GOD and Church. He enjoyed reading, yard work, watching TN
Vols basketball and football, and the Lady Vols basketball and softball.
After moving to Northshore Drive Carlos enjoyed the lake.and happiest
getting to spend time with his three grandchildren.
Carlos is preceded in death by: his two sons, Christopher Shane Webb and
Jonathan Erik Webb; father and mother George and Audrey Webb; brothers,
George, Jr., Mayford and half-brother, J. W. Webb. Survivors: wife of
50 years, Joyce Waldrop Webb; grandchildren: Mackenzie Elizabeth Webb,
Jackson Erik Webb, and Macartney Addison Webb; sisters: Joyce (Gene)
Terry of Phoenix, Alabama and Patsy Wilhite of Maryville; sister-in-law
Barbara Webb of Athens; brother-in-law Lamar (Candy) Waldrop of Lenoir
City; sisters-in-law: Carol Waldrop (Dave) Hill of Cleveland, TN and
Barbara Waldrop (Avery) Petty of Lenoir City – several nieces, nephews,
great grandchildren and many special cousins and friends including his
dog, Teddy.
Casual attire is requested. Come to the celebration of Carlos’s life on
September 13 at 3:00 p.m. at Sevier Heights Baptist Church with Dr.
Hollie Miller officiating. The family will receive friends following
the service. As an advocate of organ donation, he donated his organs for
Scientific Research, Deerfield Beach, Florida. Honoring Carlos’s
request, the burial will be private.
As a tribute to Carlos, remember him as a dedicated animal
lover/practitioner and the generous considerate person he was to all he
met. Wear his favorite color green and spend the day with those closest
to you. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Sevier
Heights Baptist Church, 3232 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920 or the
American Cancer Society, the Ronald McDonald House or a favorite
charity.
