Ruth has been my Sunday School teacher for several years. My heart hurts for her loss. It is apparent that they both served God faithfully. They have touched many lives over the years. The angels are rejoicing, Jesus is welcoming a faithful servant, and we, too, need to celebrate Charles’ life!

“Uncle Charles” was my larger-than-life uncle whose presence filled the room at family gatherings. He was always making a joke and sharing a life-time of unique experiences with us.

As an awe-filled child, I climbed into his plane and he treated me to the sights and senses of flight, even stalling the engines so that I could witness a pen float silently and weightlessly across the aircraft.

Later, as an adult with plans of creating a garden for my own family, Uncle Charles and Aunt Ruth toured us around their farm, sending our family home with elephant garlic, multiplying onions and some of his bee keeping equipment.

Now, walking around our own yard evokes memories of time spent with Uncle Charles in my childhood. The hives and plants from his farm will help my family remember his contribution to ours, and will keep his memory close every time we look out the window into our back yard.

With much love and gratitude we will keep you in our memories -

Holly, Dustin and Bryn
