She was preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Lillian “Jabo” Thompson, and brothers Wayne and Ricky Thompson.
Charlotte was born in Knoxville and spent most of her life there until health issues, along with her mother’s failing health, required her to spend the last 16 years in special facilities in east and middle Tennessee.
Although her time on this earth was not the way she would have chosen, she was able to live at home for the majority of her life due to the love and devotion of her mother. A special note of gratitude is made for her cousin, Jim Tipton, who managed Charlotte’s care once her mom became unable.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 for an 11:00 AM graveside service at New Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery.
