David Clyde Hayden, age 89, was born on December 26, 1926 in Roanoke, VA and died on March 10, 2016 in Maryville, TN. Mr. Hayden, formerly of Vinton, VA, moved to Blount County with his wife, Juanita, to be near their daughter and family in 1995. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and enjoyed building, making, and repairing nearly everything. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Juanita Chittum Hayden. He is survived by daughter, Brenda H Ramsey and husband Ray; grandsons, Chris Ramsey and wife, Kristi, Daniel Ramsey and wife, Patty; great-grandchildren, Emma, Houston, Hayden, and Katelyn Ramsey; brother, Jerry L Hayden and wife, Ann; nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
