David Arthur Willings

David Arthur Willings, age 67, of Knoxville, Blount County and Walland, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2016. He attended Young High School, where he loved playing football. He was a Spec 4 retired veteran of the United States Army. He loved everyone and he never met a stranger. He loved his family. He attended Meridian Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Margaret Willings; and sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Charles Dotson. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Millie Willings; children, David Willings, Benny Willings, Katrina Holland, Kandy Brooks, and Brandon Shuler; grandchildren, Andrew Holland, Harley Holland, Mark Brooks, Samuel Shuler, Christian Brooks, Caleb Brooks, Avery Shuler, Jullian Willings, and Jade Willings; great-grandchildren, Trenton King and Brooklynn Holland; brother, Allen Willings; and sister, June Ashmore; . In lieu of flowers, please make donations in David's honor to the Wounded Warriors Association. There will be a Celebration of Life at 3:00pm on Monday, January 9, 2016 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.sherwoodchapel.net.
