Doris served with honor in the United States Air Force, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. She dedicated over 35 years to the field of Radiology and taught X-ray skills in military and public settings.
During her time with us, Doris was a loving wife and mother. Survivors include her devoted husband of 38 years Stuart Blodgett; beloved sons and daughters-in-law Ben and Kylie, Steve and Bronwyn; sister and brother-in-law Pat and Ron Foust; niece Stephanie and husband Jody Owens; nephew Jonathan Foust; great-niece Abby Owens; and “Mamaw’s” pride, her grandchildren: Braelyn, Dominic, Graham, Brooklyn, Blake, and McKellen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee or Wounded Warrior Project.
A receiving of friends will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on June 6, 2026, from 10:30-12:00 with a service to follow.
