Born with a gentle spirit and a servant’s heart, Dorothy dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a home filled with love, warmth, and the comforting aroma of her wonderful cooking. She was a devoted homemaker whose kindness, patience, and quiet strength were felt by all who knew her.
For many years, Dorothy enjoyed a cherished Saturday ritual—after her weekly visit to the hairdresser, she would treat herself to a stop at Panera for a cup of hazelnut coffee and a cookie. This simple tradition brought her joy and became a sweet reminder of the small pleasures she loved.
Dorothy was a faithful member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, where she found community, purpose, and lifelong friendships. Her love for her church and her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life.
She will be deeply missed by her family, who will forever cherish her loving heart, her wisdom, and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert Templin; and daughter, Sharen Coppenger.
