I first 'met' Doug on a photographer's site online. Every year when the spring wildflowers would bloom, I would refresh my memory of the names of wildflowers by looking at his amazing photographs. Even though I am almost old enough to be Doug's mother, I would visit his site daily to see what he was finding. Now my dear friend is finding them ALL.

It was one day shy of my first meeting Doug, 5 years ago, when he left this earth. We spent many days hiking around the Smokies looking for one more wildflower to add to our catalog. Now you are walking among the wildflowers in heaven. Rest in Peace my friend.
