Gary was retired from The Tennessee Department of Transportation, he was a hard working man. Gary loved his family, his passion was his grandchildren, attending estate sales and gardening, he also enjoyed entertaining children for over thirty years at Christmas time while in his Santa suit, NOT to mention he was a very dedicated University of Tennessee football fan.
Gary was preceded in passing by his loving wife of forty seven years, Deborah "Lil Deb" Diane Everett Ingle, parents; Ernest and Betty Ingle, brothers; Steven and Ernie Ingle; great-granddaughter, Raelynn Ann Ingle; nephews, Brett Wooliver, Shane Brown; father and mother-in-law, James and Mable Everett; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Connie Stanton; brother-in-law, Raymond Brown.
He leaves behind to carry on his legacy of love and to mourn his passing five children Brandon (Tabitha) Ingle, Tiffany Ingle, Roscoe Ingle, Lucas Ingle, and Spencer Ingle; brother, George Ingle; sister, Kim Brown, Becky (Donnie) Yarber; brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Linda Young, Jimmy and Mary Everett, Rick and Angela Large; grandchildren, Hailey (Chris) Blattner, Hannah (Jesse) Simmons, Hunter (Kacey) Ingle, Ashlyn Moffit, Britton Darden, Christina Richards; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Kinsley Blattner, Bryleigh Simmons, and soon to be great-grandson Greyson Simmons; nieces and nephews, Lisa, Stevie, Heather, Kelli, Ashley, Jessica, Michael, Regina, Mark, Todd, Brittany, Nick, Benji, Shelley, Holly, and numerous special friends.
The family of Gary would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the staff and faculty at South Doyle High School and U.T. Medical Center for their quick response and care of Gary.
The family will honor Gary with a receiving of friends on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 1615 Price Ave, Knoxville, TN 37920, with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Monty Walton to officiate the service. A committal service will follow at a later date for family and close friends with full military honors at Woodlawn Cemetery.
