James R. McMurray, age 76, of South Knoxville, went to be with Jesus August 3rd, 2015, at 12:20 am. He was an active member of The Church of Latter Day Saints. He was retired from First State Bank of Miami and was a school volunteer at Doyle Middle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia McMurray; father, Harvey McMurray; and mother, Lela Myers McMurray. Survivors include two sons, Timothy McMurray of Richmond, KY, and Matthew McMurray of Knoxville; grandchildren Audrey, Christopher, Hayley, Thomas, Brennan, and Nicole McMurray; and two great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation Thursday, August 6, from 1:00-2:00, with a service at 2:00pm at Sherwood Chapel, and an entombment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
