James Robert Patterson

James was a cornerstone of his family through all his years. He was born April 25, 1936 at Sevier County Hospital, TN to Lela and Ralph Patterson. He married his wife, Darlene Patterson, on August 23, 1963. He lived his life as a vivid collector of Ford cars and the only thing he loved more was his family. He gave every part of himself to his children and grandchildren, and there are many with fond memories of riding around town with him in his Fords.

He is survived by his sister and her husband, Jerry and Betty (Patterson) Hurst; his daughter, Lora (Patterson) Hurst; his son in all but blood, Larry Neeley; and an entire clan of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He reunites with his wife, Darlene (Flanagan) Patterson, and their daughter Robyn (Patterson) Neeley, who both returned home to the Lord last year.

Flowers or donations can be sent to the family home, 788 Holloway St, Alcoa, TN 37701. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00pm on August 6, 2022 with Graveside Service and Internment at 3:00pm at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
