

Born in Florida and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kathy moved to Knoxville prior to beginning her senior year of high school. She graduated from Farragut High School and later attended Roane State Community College. Kathy enjoyed a long career as an administrative assistant, dedicating her professional life to serving and supporting others.
Kathy was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Bernard Stratman, and her maternal grandparents, Louis and Mary Saikley.
Kathy is survived by her children, Joseph (Elisabeth) Pereyo, Joshua Pereyo and his fiancée, Jordan Kozlin, and Kamry Arnold; her parents, Phillip and Edy Stratman; her sisters, Carol (Jerry) Jones and Anne (Steven) Freeman; her beloved grandchildren, Camden, Sophia, Zaayn, Zeke, Zuri, and Zimma; her paternal grandmother, Lorraine Stratman; and her nieces and nephews, Olivia (Keith) Haynes, Chloe Jones, Hunter Jones, Isaiah (Rachel) Freeman, and Arissa Freeman. She is also survived by two great-nieces and two great-nephews, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Kathy was known for her sense of humor and the laughter she brought to those around her. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana. Being their Nana brought her immense joy, and the time spent making memories with them was among her most treasured gifts.
Kathy raised her children in Oak Ridge where she took great pride in being their biggest fan. She loved supporting each of them in their individual passions and celebrating their accomplishments. Through her children, Kathy formed lasting friendships with fellow moms Tammy and Carman. The family is deeply grateful for the love, friendship, and care they have shared with Kathy over the years.
Kathy’s sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who love her. Her humor, her unwavering support of her children, and the love she shared with her family will be cherished always. The memories she created, especially those with her children and grandchildren, will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life and Reception will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Faith Promise Church, 10740 Faith Promise Lane, Knoxville, TN 37931.
