Lula Belle Johnson Davis passed away at her family's home on March 16, 2019 at the age of 93. Lula Belle was born in Baldwin County, Alabama and attended Indian Springs Baptist Church. She was employed by the Eight Mile Post Office before becoming a contracted quilter. Later in life she relocated to Friendsville, Tennessee and attended Friendsville First Baptist Church and continued her quilting making quilts for veterans and the homeless. She loved gardening, her cats, and sitting on her front porch watching the traffic go by. Lula Belle is preceded in death by her husbands Frank Davis and Purteman "Happy" Stewart, Jr. and her parents Samuel and Evie Dean Waters Johnson; sister, Nora "Peanut" Mason, and brother, Pete Johnson. Lula is survived by her daughters Annete Davis Patzer and husband Joe; Jeanette Davis Roberts and husband Dennis; sister, Onelia "Cotton" Gartman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 3:30 PM until 5:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with the funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM. Interment will be held in Mobile, Alabama at a later date.
