Merl Krull, age 83, born in Appleton, Wisconsin to Grace (Holz) Krull and Alfred Krull; died June 22, 2024. He was one of six children: Ronald, Eugene, Daryl, Allen and Linda. Merl graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He married Judith Thiel on June 8, 1968, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Together they had 3 children: Dr. Holly Krull (Kevin Gillis); granddaughter, Sada; Cheri Krull Orozco (Michael); grandchildren: Alec (Mattie), Annaleis and Abigail; Erik (Kate) Krull; grandchildren: Ella, Lucy and Jack.
He is also survived by his Little Brother, Eric Wayne.
Merl was active in his church, St. Paul Lutheran, Maryville as Assistant Minister, Lector, Choir and Bell Choir. He served on several committees including Worship Planning, and Church Council, including President. Merl was also active in the community: Good Neighbors, Food Connection and to Big Brothers. He coached his children and others in softball/baseball and soccer.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024,10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 429 Sandy Springs Road, Maryville, TN. The family will be receiving guests starting at 9:30 AM. Merl’s request is that attendees wear something joyful.
