She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Verlin Bruce Myers. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa (Terry) Rimmer; son, Verlin Craig Myers; daughter-in-law, Christine White Myers; grandchildren, Drew (Jessica) Abner, Devin Abner, Luke Abner, Megan (Justin) Moore, Hite Myers, and many great-grandchildren which brought her so much joy. Special recognition to her caring neighbors Ginger, Debra, Jenny and Lisa, they were by her side for years, she considered them family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of Joan to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.

The family welcomes friends for a Visitation at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens on, September 27, 2024, from 12pm-1pm, with a Memorial Service to follow.
