Ralph “Jerry” Ramsey, age 78, of Knoxville, formerly of Tateville, Kentucky, was called Home, Monday, June 25, 2018. He was a faithful member and Honorary Deacon at Sunset Heights Baptist Church. After attending Burnside High School in Burnside, Kentucky, Jerry attended Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He was then called to serve our wonderful nation, as Military Police in the Army. After serving honorably, years later in 2003, he retired from The Home Depot. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Christina Blakley Ramsey; his parents, Margaret and Steve Ramsey; his sisters: Elizabeth Ramsey Roberts and Opal Ramsey Grunske; and his brother, J.B. Ramsey. His survivors include, his son, Eddie Hamblin (Sheri) of Knoxville; his grandson Nathan Hamblin of Jonesboro, Georgia; his brother Jimmy Ramsey (Shelia) of Science Hill, Kentucky; a host of nieces and nephews; his dear friend Virginia Henderson of Knoxville; his walking buddies at Seven Islands State Birding Park; and his ever-so-faithful dog, Sweetie.
