Robert L. Brown Sr.
May 29, 1935 – August 25, 2013
Brown, Sr., Robert L., T.Sgt. USAF Ret., age 78, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Brown and Doris Raines Brown; and his wife, Darlene Brown. He is survived by his first wife and mother of his children, June Rose Apers; daughters, Sharon DeBusk and husband, David; Fran King and husband, Mike; Robin Gouge and husband, Steve; sons, Robert Brown, Jr. and wife Laura; Dale Brown and wife Angie; very, very special friend, Rosalie Stutzman; 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, William W. Underwood; sister, Mary Francis Underwood; cousin, Tommy Clark and wife Mary; and a host of other relatives and friends. The Brown family wishes to give thanks to all of Mr. Brown's caretakers and special friends, and special thanks to Karen Ware for all her loving care. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Lynnhurst Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered at www.sherwoodchapel.net

That's a great picture of Bob,he had such a wonderful smile! My brother John was just asking me about him on Saturday as we drove by some of those big blue silos on 40 west. He has fond memories of Bob as do I. I know you will miss him but I know your family have many fond memories to share as well. Bob was a good neighbor (Hugh Rule Drive) and a wonderful person to know. He did some excellent remodeling for us too. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him. Our sympathy in your loss.
