I knew Rusty in high school. He was always kind and thoughtful. Years later he is a leader in my Mother’s church and we reconnected. He was still the same sweet guy from high school. He had a passion for Christ and was devoted to teaching, providing fellowship, and being a lay leader within the church. He will be greatly missed by his church family. He will be missed by an old friend from high school. It is my understanding that Rusty had several major health issues over the last few months and I am so sorry that he may have suffered. However, he is now free to fly. Peace be with you Rusty! You did so much for so many.
Prayers for the family, Diane Holden Neely

Recently, I had a dear friend who passed away and the family did not have the financial resources to have the memorial at a funeral home. Rusty opened the doors of his church to provide a memorial service. I delivered the eulogy for my friend and Rusty ,along with other members of his church, made sure everything was organized and made sure everyone was comfortable. I pray for God's peace and comfort to Rusty's family and I am sure all who know Rusty know that he is now present with the Lord and the day will come when all of us in Christ will see him again.

I mourn with the family! Anyone who knew Rusty loved him! He was such an inspiration to so many. He loved so deeply. He gathered children and showed them love they may never have known if not for him. He was a father figure to so many kids. He will forever be missed in this community! I will always hold him in my heart until we meet again! Rest my friend!
