

Though words on earth often escaped him, his family finds comfort in believing that in Heaven, his voice is heard clearly and joyfully.
Ross found great happiness in life's simple blessings. He especially loved the holidays, with Christmas holding a special place in his heart. Family gatherings brought him immense joy, and he treasured receiving sticky notes filled with fun messages and thoughtful gift bags that always brought a smile to his face. His gentle spirit and appreciation for the little things left a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Houser; grandparents, Fred and Gladys Foister and Louise Houser; aunt, Ann Green; uncles, James Foister and Gene Green; and cousin, Gene Green Jr.
Ross is lovingly remembered by his mother, Grace I. Houser; his special aunt, Ruth Green; his special cousins, Kim (Chris) Howell and Kathy (Gerald) Hodge; and many other cousins and extended family members who will cherish his memory.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Cumberland Mountain Industries. A special thank you is given to Jamie, Karin, Caroline, Melissa, George, Jim, Isaiah, and Bill for the exceptional love, care, kindness, and friendship they showed Ross throughout the years. Their devotion made a meaningful difference in his life and brought great comfort to his family.
The family welcomes friends for a Visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens, from 12:30pm-2:30pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:30pm.
