Roy L. Poole, age 73, of Madisonville, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away May 25th. He was an avid fisherman and loved working with his hands. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Beatrice Poole, son Roy Poole, Jr., brothers Jimmy and Donnie Poole, and sister Betty Jean Williams. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan Poole, children and spouses Cathy DaCosta, Ivy Poole, Ron Poole, Carrie Carter and husband Jeremy, and Jeremy and Jessica Poole, as well as thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, brother Ronnie Poole and wife Laura, sister Brenda Holcomb, and several nieces and nephews. A service will be held on Friday May 29, 2015, at 2:00 at Sherwood Chapel with Rev. Billy Williams officiating. The visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
