Shirley June Holt

She was a member of Walridge Baptist Church for several years. Shirley enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She played at many churches and also played weekly at her senior home, Trustwell. She retired as an Administrative Assistant from KCDC after around 30 years. Shirley's family would say she is the most loving, caring, giving, and most beautiful mother and person in the world. In addition, she loved all animals, especially her dog Max.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years CJ Holt; parents Rome and Mildred Wells; sisters Shelby Brookshire and Jenny Faddis and brother RL Wells Jr.

Shirley is survived by her children Sandy (Larry) Henegar, Daryl (Becca) Casteel, Darrell R. (Susan) Holt, Sharon (Byron) Welliver; grandchildren Lindsay Law, V. Dwight (Shelley) Dockery Jr., Tyler Casteel, Leighanne (Jason) Sisk, Darrell Holt Jr., Dana (Mark) Jessup, Cindy Holt, Courtney (Chris) Reynolds and Stephanie (Darrel) Watkins; many great-grandchildren and a large loving group of friends and family.

The family would like to thank Fort Sanders NHC Hospice Staff for the love and care that they provided during this time.

The family welcomes friends for a Visitation at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 12pm-2pm, with a Funeral Service to follow at 2pm.
