Jerry, age 80, and Shirley Gurley, age 81, were called home together to rest with the Lord, on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. They had just celebrated 61 years together. They are survived by daughter Melissa (John Michael) Gurley Glidewell; grandson Brandon (Katie Barton) Boling; great-grandson Lucas Boling and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Shirley is survived by one sister, Betty (Edmond) Greene, and Jerry is survived by brothers Jack Gurley and James Wilburn Gurley, and sisters Brenda Morgan and Betty Owenby. The family welcomes friends for an Interment Service on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1pm, at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens.
