Shirley Anne McCutcheon, 88, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on July 11, 2026. Born June 2, 1938, Shirley will be remembered with deep affection by all who had the privilege to know her, and her life will be honored with gratitude for the quiet goodness she brought to those around her.
Throughout her years, Shirley was a cherished presence—steady, kind, and gentle in the ways that mattered most. In her work as an administrative assistant in the medical field at a nursing home, she served with care and attentiveness, offering support that reflected both her compassion and her respect for others.
Shirley’s devotion and warmth also shone through in the things she loved. A devoted UT VOL fan, she followed her team with faithful enthusiasm. She was also a gifted pianist and singer, and her music was a tender expression of the grace she carried in everyday life.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McCutcheon; her father, Rosser Reeves; her mother, Ruth Reeves; her brother and sister-in-law, Mike Reeves (JoAnn); and her sister and brother-in-law, Andy Shadden (Stanley).
She is survived by her sons, Craig McCutcheon and Rodney McCutcheon; her grandson, Jeramy McCutcheon (Elissa); and her great-grandchild, Liam McCutcheon.
Visitation will be held at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens, Mausoleum Chapel, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, Tennessee 37701, on July 15, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a graveside service following at 3:00 pm.
