Age 92, of Maryville, daughter of the late Heirschell Richard “HR” and Elva Ledford Burns of Alcoa, TN, died Monday, June 25, 2020. Stella was a dedicated servant to her God Jehovah and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Maryville. She was an outstanding seamstress. Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles O. Hurst; son, George Steven Hurst; grandson, Jonathan Richard Hurst; great-granddaughter, Mollie Mackenzie Wilson; daughter-in-laws, Sandra Underwood Hurst (Gary) and Joyce Hux Hurst (Chris); step-mom, Estelle Jones Burns; sister, Betty Ruth Phibbs; brothers, Douglas Richard Burns and Kenneth Edward Burns; step-sister, Carol Ann Newman. Stella is survived by her loving family: sons, Charles Chrisley “Chris” Hurst of Maryville, Gary Wayne Hurst of Alcoa, and Willard Lynn Hurst of Maryville; grandchildren, Carmen Hurst Wilson of Alcoa and Kevin Chrisley Hurst of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Trevor Ian Wilson of Alcoa, Tripp Spencer Wilson of Alcoa, and Kaiden Chrisley Hurst of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Raymond Barger of Knoxville; brother and sister-in-law, Rankin “Buster” and Margaret Burns of Mooresville, North Carolina; sister-in-laws, Betty Williams Burns of Moline, Illinois and Phyllis Robinette Burns of Knoxville; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will have a private service with Minister Darius Blair officiating. Arrangements by Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
