Steve Allen Davis, age 63, passed away and joined our Lord in the evening hours of October 10th 2020, after a long fought battle with ALS. He never asked the Lord, "Why?" He always kept a steady smile and never complained in spite of the dire circumstances that the disease brings to its victims. His bravery and perseverance was an inspiration to us all.

Steve was preceded in death by his father and mother, Willard and Jeannine Davis. He leaves his wife Delilah Davis, daughter Isabella Davis, and daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Nicholas Martino. Steve also leaves behind his brother and his wife, Chuck and Susan Davis, and his sister and her husband, Sandra and Fred Hoyos. He leaves his nieces and nephews and their sweet families and children. Additionally, Steve has left many close friends who are dear to his heart.

Steve was a member of East Maryville Baptist and an exuberant member of their choir. He also played the trumpet, and he always had a melody in his heart and a song on his lips to praise the Lord. He was an electrician by trade, learning at his father's knee as a young boy. Steve owned his own business Electrical Concepts, and later he became a state electrical inspector. Then ultimately he worked for Multi-Media Solutions with a focus on A/V work and Crestron programming.

The family will have an outdoor graveside service officiated by Pastor Keith Johnson on Tuesday, October 20th at 3pm at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens. The family kindly requests facemasks to be worn and distancing to be observed.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.sherwoodchapel.com for the Davis family.

Steve was the sweetest guy. He always had a wonderful sense of humor until the end. He had amazing patience. I could always see in him the skills that his dad Willard had taught him over the years. He was a sweet family member and an inspiration until the end. One day we will all get to be together again.
Blessings

I have lots of memories of growing up in Lakemont with Steve, and Chuck and Sandra. Steve and I attended school together and we were in EHS band together as well as being neighbors. I am so very sorry to learn of his passing. To the entire Davis family I am so very sorry for your loss and pray for your strength and pray that your happy memories will help comfort your grief.

I will always remember Steve, as a loving father and husband, who loved his family. A person who loved God and never gave up, to do the Lord's will in his life. His great sense of humor and ready smile. Steve was a blessed man, who had a wife who loved him dearly and two daughters who adored him. May his children follow in their fathers footsteps, on their road to victory. And may God continue to bless and protect Delilah. May Steve's family find comfort in knowing he is still taking care of them, from heaven.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Davis, but he and Delilah raised two phenomenal young ladies, Jess and Izzy, both of whom I love dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.
