Thelma Faye Payne

Thelma Faye Payne, 78, of Maryville went home to be with Jesus on May 6, 2022. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a talented baker and enjoyed celebrating holidays with her cakes and pies. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Hollandsworth; parents Mildred and Brodie Boruff; sister Laverne James and special brother-in-law Don Potter. She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Ralph Payne; daughter Kimberly (Don) Blackburn of Ocala, Florida; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; loving sister Beatrice Potter of Maryville; sister-in-law Evelyn Saunders of Athens; several nieces and nephews and special friends Joann and Jerry Hurst and Debbie Terry. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Sherwood Chapel & Memorial Gardens, in The Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel with a funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM.
