Wanda Faye Branton

Wanda was a devoted Christian whose life was a beautiful reflection of her faith in Jesus Christ. A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, she found great joy in sharing the love of the Lord with everyone she met. She was a loving wife, devoted mother of five, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and generous spirit touched countless lives.

Throughout her life, Wanda worked several jobs while also dedicating herself to caring for her family as a homemaker. She had a servant's heart and expressed her love through the many beautiful quilts and crocheted treasures she lovingly made for family and friends. She also enjoyed tending her garden and was known as an exceptional cook whose meals brought family together around the table. Above all, Wanda treasured time spent with those she loved and found her greatest joy in caring for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Nellie Roberts; her beloved husband, David G. Branton Sr.; and her sister, Mary Edna Roberts Mullenax.

She is survived by her children, David G. Branton Jr., Cathy Faye Branton Borden, Deborah "Debbie" Ann Branton Normand, Teresa Lynn Branton Tackett, and Matthew Lane Branton; seven grandchildren, Jason Chapman, Crissy Borden, Tony Borden, Jeremy Evans, Andrea Evans Page, Kyla Branton, and Tyler Tackett; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Alvin A. Roberts (Nancy), Polly Plemmons (Bob), and Connie Irwin (Eugene); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

The family would like to thank hospice nurse, Andrea Norris, caregivers Emily and Daphne, and friend Joyce Hembee.

The family welcomes friends to a Visitation at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 1pm-2pm with a Funeral Service at 2pm and a Graveside Service in the Garden of Prayer to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to James Robinson at Life Today or to Daystar.
