William Ray (Bill) Housewright, age 70, of Seymour entered into Heaven on October 5, 2017 after a long battle with lung cancer, heart attacks, and stroke. Bill attended Friendly Chapel Baptist and Blount Baptist Churches. He was an avid fisherman , a loyal husband, and a loving father. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Bill Housewright; mother, Onalee Henson; step-father, Frank Henson; sister, Sheila; and brother-in-law Royce DeVault. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Yvonne; sons, Jesse and David; daughter, Stephanie; sister, Brenda DeVault; and brother, Doug Henson; many other relatives and a host of great friends, especially Butch and David. At Bill’s request, there will be no funeral service. There will be a celebration fellowship on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the picnic grounds of Louisville Point in Blount County between 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm.
