Fay Lorraine Lang
June 19, 1938 – November 12, 2020
It’s with sad hearts we announce the sudden passing of Fay Lorraine Lang (Rowlett)on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at the age of 82. Mom passed away quickly and peacefully and for that we are extremely thankful. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Harold and Bessie Rowlett, by her husband Russell Lang and siblings Alannah, Roseline, Mavis, Blaine and Bernice. She was born in Rose Valley Saskatchewan on June 19, 1938. She married Russ on October 19,1955 and they farmed in Rosetown , Sask and later moved to Abbotsford B.C. with their 5 children. Fay was our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her children Robin Lang, Murray Lang, Evelyn Folvik, Lorrie (Joanne) Lang, John (Maureen) Lang, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and sister Pat Brown and brother Jim (Gladys) Rowlett. She was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed. Over the years, Fay loved playing bingo, bowling, dancing at the O.A.P. with Russ, bus trips to Reno, crocheting blankets and dishcloths for her family, card games and coloring with her grandkids, and especially a rousing game of Rummoli or crib. Fay had a smile that lit up her face and the most beautiful blue eyes! We have such comfort and peace she knew Jesus, accepted His great love for her, and is in heaven where we all hope to see her again. Due to the pandemic and COVID regulations, there will be no funeral at this time. Our deepest gratitude to the doctors and nurses who cared for Fay during her brief time at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. Your kindness and gentleness to Fay was such a blessing to our family especially when we couldn’t be there with her.

I will forever miss our fun times together at the Tennants Musicians Jamboree and in more recent years, the sorting and sharing of our coin collections and our many games of cards along with your great hospitality. Love you cousin.
