Laura was the first born of Jim and Donna and grew up in North Langley on the family farm next door to her Grand Parents. She was surrounded by a growing family of a brother and two sisters, her beloved horse Dilly, the chickens, and many pets. She enjoyed the country life as well as the family visits to relatives in Gibsons and playing on the beach. She visited Gibsons many times to see her Grandmother and had thought she may retire in the area as she loved the ocean and peacefulness of the community.
Laura went to the local elementary and high school where she made a multitude of life-long friends with her outgoing personality. After Graduation, Laura began working and explored several different career paths – cashier at Canadian Tire, banking and real estate – until she found her perfect career path in the insurance field, first as a broker for several different insurance brokerages and finally finding her career home with Mutual Fire Insurance as an Underwriter.
Laura’s always happy, exuberant, outgoing personality attracted numerous friends no matter where she went. She was always sure to strike up a conversation and friendship with people she met along the way. Laura touched so many through her adventures and friendships, that a piece of her will always live on in those of us who knew and loved her.
Laura is survived by her Mother Donna, Father Jim, Brother Richard, Sister Christine (Joe), Sister Valerie, Nieces Ashley, Vanessa, Nephews Sean, Kevin, Billy, Joey and Cameron, extended family of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless wonderful friends and colleagues.
