This was very sad news. We loved Barbara from the first day we met her. That was a good day, as well as, a sad day as Stanley (my brother) brought her to Kansas City for our Mom’s funeral. Mom never got to meet Barbara but we always said Mom would have loved her. Barbara was sweet, kind, gentle, and caring; a duplicate of Mom. She will be greatly missed.

To Barbaras daughters Sharon and Kay. I remember back in the day when our mothers were the best of friends. They dress up on a Friday or Saturday night and dance the night away and on Sunday they spent with us going to the lake. I hope they find their way back to being the best of friends in heaven. My condolences out to all those who loved your mother. I remember her very well.
With love April Rowe Helms

I have many fond memories of Barbara but the best were the early mornings, drinking coffee, talking and laughing for hours. A very dear friend. You will be missed by so many.

I'll never forget the first time I met Barbara, December 1997, I felt like I'd known her all my life! Every time we were together, whether at her home , mine or others, she was always a joy & like every other time. She was officially my Sister-in-law, married to my only brother, Stanley. We had so many wonderful times together even though we lived miles apart. She was "The Hostess with the Mostess". She always had or brought lots of goodies, she was a fantastic cook/baker. I'm so glad that I have lots of photos & wonderful memories of them & my family & her family. She was always fun, happy, thoughtful, loving & never complained

I am remembering the first time I met Barbara and her family. She made me feel like I had known her all my life. No wonder my son thought of her as a second mother. Hugs and prayers to the family. Hope to see you all soon.
