

Born on October 13, 1943, in Saline County, Arkansas, Betty attended Harmony Grove High School and lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Fooks and Savannah Mae Holmes Fooks; her husband, Thomas Cory; her siblings, Lambert Fooks, Oliver "Pinky" Fooks, Thelma Parsons, Mary Brown, Hazel Hazell, and Opal Stegall; and her special niece and lifelong best friend, Sandy Craig.
Betty is lovingly survived by her only child, Todd Cotten and his wife, Danna. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Josh Rooks and his wife, Lindsey; Jacob Rooks; and John Rooks and his wife, Hannah. Her five great-grandchildren were a constant source of joy and pride.
Betty had a true zest for life. She loved to travel and was always ready for her next adventure. She enjoyed water skiing, golfing, and cheering on her favorite football teams, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She also enjoyed relaxing with a good margarita, especially when surrounded by family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Betty's life on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Highway 5, Alexander, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m.
Betty's legacy of love, strength, and joy will love on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever be a blessing.
