Bruce Edward Henley, 72, of Bryant, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, to enter into his final rest in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born on March 7, 1954, to Ollie Miller Henley, Jr., and Mildred Samford Henley.
He was preceded to heaven by his father, Ollie M. Henley, Jr.
Bruce was, and will always be, a much beloved husband, dad, stepdad, grandpa, son, brother, and uncle. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Mrs. Mildred Henley; his wife of 21 years, Valerie Henley; his sons, Adrian, Andrew, and James Henley (Lainna); his step-daughters Heather Parady (Bryan) and Ashlea Worsham; his sisters, Brenda Henley, Karen Tucker (Roger), and Carol Witcher (Wayne); His grandchildren, Tye, Landon, and Preston Henley; Mylea Worsham, Lucy Parady, Amelia Henley, Evalynn Henley, Abigayle Clark, Thelma Henley, Emerson Parady, Laura Henley, and Nera Henley. Bruce also has a number of nephews and nieces who will remember him with love.
Bruce worked in the industrial supply business for many years as an Operations Manager and for several years as a Business Analyst. He was hard-working, devoted to his work, a man of honor and integrity. He was awarded the President’s Award by his company in 1991.
He also served as a Commander in the Royal Rangers program for several years, when his two older sons participated in the organization, working alongside his own dad.
He loved studying and discussing American history, and visiting historic sites in the U.S. with his wife, and he was passionate about doing genealogy research. He also enjoyed reading, particularly science fiction and fantasy novels. As almost everyone knows, of those who knew him, he was a huge Star Wars fan and a devoted Dallas Cowboys football fan.
Bruce was first and foremost a family man. He adored his children and his grandchildren and they adored him right back. Bruce believed and lived out the creed that nothing was more important than family. He was a steady provider, always available to a family member in need, and he rarely complained, always grateful for his blessings and for the family that surrounded him and loved him dearly. Spending time with and enjoying his family was a priority with Bruce, and everyone knew it. There’s a saying in our family about Bruce, “Everyone loves Pa.”
A graveside service will be held to honor Bruce on October 10, 2026, at 3:30 p.m., at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
