David Anthony Chaffin

David Anthony Chaffin 80, of Mabelvale died on July 4, 2025 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Arkansas following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 7, 1944 in Little Rock. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Joyce Sealy Chaffin and daughter, Karla Sloan and a son, Lynn Chaffin (Lana). Five grandchildren, Gracie Sloan (Vince), Cassie Holehouse (Sean), Carrie Sloan, Caleb Chaffin (Brianna), Clift Chaffin (Ashlyn) and one Great-Grandson, Andrew and his special little buddy "Louie". He leaves behind many other beloved family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Reverend A.L. and Ruth Chaffin, and a sister, Eleanor Rodgers. David is a graduate of Henderson State University. David retired after 35 years with United Artist Theaters. He founded Arkansas State Security aka Arkansas Protective Services, where he sold and installed video surveillance equipment primarily to school districts throughout the State of Arkansas. His time with the school districts led to many meaningful and lasting friendships. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, Oaklawn, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Being with family and friends brought him the greatest joy.

A reception and visitation will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home (7401 AR-5, Alexander, AR 72002). A private graveside service will be held on Thursday July 10, 2025 at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
