Freeman Eubanks, age 86, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was born on October 12, 1938, in Choctaw, Arkansas to the late James B. and Elva Eubanks. In addition to his parents, Freeman is preceded in death by brother, Maurice Eubanks; sisters, Wanda Hill and Margie Tipton; grandson, Clay Sims; and great-grandson, Harrison Moore.
Born in Choctaw, Freeman was a man of quiet strength and enduring kindness. For 20 years, he proudly served his community as firefighter for the Little Rock Fire Department, where he retired as a Captain. He demonstrated courage, dedication, and compassion in every call he answered. He was also a dedicated businessman, the proud co-owner and operator of Southwest Lawnmower Service Inc. Through hard work and honest service, he built a company that became a trusted part of the community and a source of pride for his family.
Freeman shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Arlene. Their love was a true partnership — built on respect, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, love, and countless cherished memories.
A true outdoorsman, Freeman found his peace in nature — whether casting a line on a calm morning or sitting around the fire at E&P deer camp solving all the world's problems. He passed that love on to those around him, teaching not just how to hunt or fish, but how to slow down and appreciate the simple, beautiful moments in life.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, Freeman's spirit lives on — in the laughter of his grandchildren, the hush of the woods at dawn, the cast of a fishing line, and in the ringing of each firehouse alarm. He answered the call with bravery and heart, and in every act of service that follows, his legacy endures.
Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 64 years, Arlene Eubanks; children, Craig (Nellie) Eubanks, Laurie (Tommy) Brock; siblings, Frances Boone, Sammy Story, Lavonne Duncan, Larry (Carolyn) Eubanks; grandchildren, Trey (Jessica) Moore, Katelyn (Terry) Henson, Cami (Brad) Porter, Sammy Duncan, Emily (Hunter) Linam, Ethan Brock; great-grandchildren, Lane Icenhower and Harper Henson; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
