

Wayne grew up in both Little Rock and North Little Rock and spent much of his childhood with his great grandmother, Mattie 'Big Ma' May and his grandmother, Lillie Belle Akins. Growing up as the first 'cousin' of the Akins family, he was a part of his mother's brothers close knit extended family.
He graduated North Little Rock High School in 1959. Then served many years in the Army National Guard (NLR Armory). He was a customer service agent in the airline industry starting at Adams Field working for Trans Texas Airlines, Texas International Airlines, Continental Airlines and United Airlines. He transferred to Denver to work for United until his retirement.
He married Lee Hoover McGraw in 1964. They have one son, Keith McGraw (Jodee), two grandchildren, Mason McGraw and Maura McGraw.
Wayne had two brothers and one sister. Lloyd, deceased; Larry (Betti) of Atlanta, GA; Lillie (Tommy, deceased) of Conway, AR.
After retirement, Wayne and Lee moved from Denver to Bryant, Arkansas to live closer to those who would be supportive as health declined. His sister in law, Annette Hoffmann (Gary) and her family, Teri Tribby (Gregg), Sarah Desormeaux and Mike Barnett (deceased), who were important to both Wayne and Lee as they were a close part of daily life as they grew up.
A memorial service will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home on Friday March 15, 2024 at 11AM with a visitation to follow.
