Gertie Marie Parish

In the gentle embrace of our lord's’ hands, Gertie Marie Brasfield Parish, was called home on the 20th of January 2025, at the age of 71. Born on the 15th of February 1953, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Marie’s life’s journey had many travels and experiences plus working at the red cross for 25 years, and always doing her best.

Marie is preceded in death by, her parents Arthur “Curly” and Hilda Ward Brasfield, her sister Rita Joyce Brasfield; two brothers, Kenneth Brasfield and Carl Brasfield; three nephews, Scott Brasfield, Barry Rudder, and Carl Brasfield Jr.

She is survived by her faithful companion and fur baby, Georgi, her niece, Susan Sweet (Mark Timothy White) and family, adopted brother, Brooks Robbins and wife Ann, plus many wonderful nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A visitation for Gertie will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002.
