Michelle and Nancy,
I have so many good memories of “growing up” in your Pine Bluff home. Hammer was such a character, always with quick wit, but yet also quick to keep you in line. I love you guys and I’m deeply sorry I won’t be there to show support at the memorial. Prayers for peace and sharing many loving memories tomorrow.
Love,
Michelle Ransom

Harold was a great golfer and a good friend. We played in the same group for most of the 17 years I lived in Pine Bluff, AR. He an Nancy knew how to throw a great Super Bowl party and were both great friends. Rosswood Country Club was almost a home to all of us in the golf group and it would be impossible to share all the great memories of our times together at Rosswood. I relocated to Collierville, TN in 1997 but will always have found memories of my friendship with Harold. Harold was a man of few words and direct at time - in a good way. Harold I hope there is a great golf course in Heaven that you can play. I've heard that the SWANK doesn't exist in heaven. For the non-golfers the shank is the worst shot you can hit in golf of which Harold and I both hit a number of in the course of play. Have a great Eternity ........ you worked hard and played hard and deserve it. A great song is one that I came across a few years ago by the title of Immortality. It was written by the BeeGee's, but Celion Dion's version that she sang at a special on TV is a great listen and offers a great amount of comfort for times like these. I would encourage anyone to go on Youtube and listen to the song. You won't regret.

I worked briefly with Mr. Hammersla, me a young engineer with the Little Rock Corps of Engineers, this back in the late 1970-early 80s. He was one of the "giants" of the Corps whom we young guys were always advised to listen and learn. He was the kind of person that always supported and taught us in every effort; I respected him immensely and am sorry to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences, particularly to his close family; on the passing of a very good man.
