Found a picture of Turley and my dad circa 1981 of them at Greers Ferry Lake with a catfish they caught on a trotline. They sure loved to fish. What a great friends they were.

Martha and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Turley family. I had the opportunity of working with Stick on a few jobs and he was always a pleasant and friendly person. God's peace be upon the Turley family!

A sweet glance from Pa counted for more than a thousand words. He was a loving, kind, loyal man whose good values and exemplary life impacted our entire family’s life in more ways than can be listed or known. As his granddaughter I have the sweetest memories of his special and unique ways of bonding- a squeeze of the hand, a soft-spoken and beautifully heart-felt compliment under his breath just for me to hear, and his quiet presence as he would go out of his way to walk over and just sit next to me without saying much. Pa had a way of making great company without any fluff; he taught me it’s just as meaningful to just choose to be next to each other. He had a sense of humor that was also just as modest and generous, as he’d often mutter a clever response or joke and leave us laughing in awe and surprise. I love you forever, Pa. Thank you for being my grandpa and a father, husband, father-in-law, friend, grandpa, great grandpa, and so much more to those I love too. Go in peace, I’ll miss you, and see you one day. Muaaa!
