Irene Burr-Binns, 95, passed away on July 25th, 2026. She made her home in Mabelvale, Arkansas. She was born March 20th, 1931, in Durant, Oklahoma, to the late Johnny and Evelyn Burr. In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Gerald Binns; sons, Jon Carson Binns and Jerry Binns; and ten siblings.
Irene was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Geyer Springs Baptist Church she treasured the time she spent with others in worshipping the Lord. She spent time in the Word of God every day and lived her faith through her actions, words, and deeds. She taught others about Jesus and His love by the way she treated people. She never held a grudge, loved everyone, gave freely, and asked for nothing in return. Irene spent much of her time quilting for veterans and for people experiencing homelessness. She also loved working in her flower beds. She retired from Southwestern Bell/AT&T and was a lifetime Pioneer member. She enjoyed visiting with all the wonderful women at Otter Creek Beauty Salon. More than anything she loved the Lord, her family, and countless friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Carla (Don); grandchildren, Justin, Joshua (Michelle), Janna (Tony), Jereme (Aly), Jonathan (Rachel), Jessica (John), Johnny, Donmichael, and Grayson; great-grandchildren, Maddie (Lawson), Bailey (Emily), Eli, Ty, Heath, Easton, Gage, Rachel, Jaci, Julie, Jaxon, Addy, Anna, and Aubree; great-great grandchildren, Benjamin, Lily, and Milo; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and neighbors. Irene's family takes comfort in knowing that Jesus welcomed her home with open arms.
Visitation will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 HIGHWAY 5 N, ALEXANDER, AR 72002, US, on July 31, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
