Jackie Sue Metz

Jackie S. Metz, age 66, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 resided in Benton, AR. She passed away at home in the loving and caring arms of her family after a long battle with cancer. She was a fighter to the end until the Lord called for her to come home.

She was born on January 31, 1959 in Abbeville, LA to the parents of Judge Carrol and Rose Spell. They resided in Lafayette, LA.

She married Mark A. Metz from Elyria, Ohio and was a loving and caring wife for more than 20 years.

Jackie is survived by three sons, Lorne Gladden(Katie Webb), Aric and Aaron Gladden(twins); two step sons, Matthew Metz, Malcolm Metz(Elizabeth Fehr); mother, Rose Spell; sister Karen Latiolais; two grand daughters, Jacklyn Gladden and Kathryn Gladden, step grandchildren, Oliver Metz and Lillian Metz.

Jackie became a medical assistant when we met. She worked and started her own medical supply company with the help of her son Lorne. At heart both were enterpreneurs.

Jackie was a passionate rock and gem enthusiast which led her to pursue her dreams of opening her own rock store. Customers would come from several states to talk and learn from her vast knowledge.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Pinecrest Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, 20, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Pinecrest Funeral Home.
